The city government of Marikina will make history if it succeeds in gathering the largest number of band members to play the National Anthem during the Civic Military Parade to commemorate Police Memorial Day on Sunday, September 11.
The said parade aims to gather 700 members from different bands like the Philippine National police Academy (PNPA) band, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) band, Philippine National Police – National Capital Region Police Office (PNP-NCRPO) band, and more.
The march will start at Marikina ’s Freedom Park and will end at the Police Memorial Monument in Loyola Memorial Park where the flag raising shall take place.
Afterwards, widows and children of departed policemen, with honored guests, city hall officials, PNP officers, and officers of Police Retirees Association will offer flowers to the graves of the departed policemen.
