Now on its second year, Marikina City shall be holding its 2nd Mayor Del De Guzman Golf Classic tournament on January 13, Friday, at the Valley Golf & Country Club in Antipolo.
The tournament is a fund-raising project of the Rotary Club of Marikina, the Philippine Constructors Association Marivalley, and the Marikina Golfer’s Association which aims to support the Children with Disability projects as well as other community service activities of the Rotary Club.
This is also in line with the 49th birthday celebration of Mayor Del De Guzman who is also the current president of the Rotary Club of Marikina.
“I’m happy that the private sector actively takes part in the government’s mission of helping its people. With this, we are confident to deliver more to the welfare of our citizens,” said De Guzman.
The two types of competition which will be held are the individual category and team category. Joining fees for the individual category is PhP2,500 for non-members and PhP1,500 for Valley Golf & Country Club members. Meanwhile, the joining fee for the team category is PhP2,000 per team.
Trophies shall be awarded to all the winners of both categories. Liewise, freebies shall be given to the participants after the tournament.
The said tournament is presented by Sta. Clara International Corporation in cooperation with the Philippine Veterans Bank.
