Marikina Mayor Del De Guzman invites Marikeños to join the Women’s Health Forum on March 8, from 8:30am to 5pm, Training Room 1 and 2, at the 5th floor of the Marikina City Health Office (CHO).
This is the city government of Marikina’s celebration of the International Women’s Health Day and National Women’s Health Month in the country.
The said health forum aims to educate and create awareness to women regarding diseases like Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, and Sexually Transmitted Disease. Smoking Cessation Program and Family Planning shall also be discussed in the forum.
“Every woman plays a great role in our society, especially to the lives of each and every one of us. We should take care of them especially their health. That’s why we launched projects which will benefit women like this health forum,” De Guzman said.
The forum shall be ended by providing medical services to its participants like Breast Cancer Screening, Cervical Cancer Screening, Bone Screening, Diet Counseling, and other diagnostic services for women.
The Women’s Health Forum is open to all females from Marikina. One hundred women are expected to join including guest relation officers, pregnant teenage girls, and walk-in patients.
“We encourage women to join the said health forum as several medical services shall also be provided to them,” De Guzman added.
