Marikina Mayor Del De Guzman invites Marikeños to join its upcoming free surgical mission on February 11 to 15, at the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center.
Called the “Operation We Care,” the said program is a tie-up project of the city government of Marikina, City Health Office (CHO), Rotary Club International, and the Rotary Club of Marikina.
The project aims to give free surgical operations to indigent residents of the city. In the said period, 250 major surgical operations shall be given, with no limits on minor operations.
“This is an annual project of the Rotary Club International where foreign surgeons visit our city to give free surgical operations to our indigent residents,” De Guzman said.
“However, the project lasts for only five days, that’s why we can only accept simple and uncomplicated surgical cases,” he added.
Registration for the said project is already ongoing. To join, a Certificate of Indigency from the respective barangay halls and a referral letter from the City Social Welfare and Development Office are required.
Interested participants shall undergo series of screening before assigning their day of surgery.
