As part of the Sapatos Festival 2013, the city government of Marikina formally inaugurates the Sapatos Central today (Sept 30). The said one-stop shop sells genuine Marikina shoes at price 30% cheaper compared to their commercial counterparts.
The inauguration was spearheaded by Vice Mayor Jose Fabian Cadiz and other city officials, along with guests of honor, veteran morning show hosts Winnie Cordero and Ariel Oreta.
“Sapatos Central sells quality Marikina shoes known for durability, comfort and affordability. These shoes are made by 48 shoe companies that joined this year’s shoe festival. We guarantee the caliber of these footwear products since they undergo strict quality check,” Cadiz said.
Aside from the shoes on sale, Sapatos Central features a 20-feet giant Christmas tree adorned with 315 shoe lasts as main embellishment.
Themed “I Feel Good!”, the Sapatos Festival 2013 likewise launched today its Shoe Caravan and Mega Shoe Sale to Metro Manila local government units (LGUs) and neighboring towns. It visits Valenzuela City today (until Oct 2). It is also set to visit the following LGUs: Malabon City (Oct. 3); Antipolo City (Oct 4-6); Caloocan City (Oct 7); Navotas City (Oct 8); Quezon City (Oct 9-10); Pasig City (Oct 11); Taguig City (Oct 14-15); Pateros (Oct 16-17); Muntinlupa City (Oct 18); San Juan (Oct 21-22); Manila (Oct 23-24); Pasay City (Oct 25); Paranaque City (Oct 28-29); Las Pinas City (Nov 4-5); Makati City (Nov 6-7); and Mandaluyong City (Nov 8).
